There is no better way to get a close glimpse at the fantastic beauty of Cedar Island than cruising through the Bay on a canoe or kayak. Our unique location is a haven for kayakers with our beautiful, pristine waters, abundant wildlife, marshes, and natural beaches. The waters are shallow, and the current is mild unless it is an extremely windy day. White egret, gray heron, seagulls, pelicans, Canadian Geese, and several species of ducks dot our shorelines and marsh. You are almost guaranteed to see jumping fish and a few river otters on your journey. If you are lucky, you may catch views of the wild Spanish horses or even the wild cattle that roam freely throughout Cedar Island and Hog Island.
